Simon Phillips, one of the best Rock drummers has been working with legendary musicians, Jeff Beck, Michael Schenker, The Who, to name a few. No need to mention his brilliant works for the band TOTO.
Simon is not only the top level drummer, but also a top notch music creator who is enthusiastic about his project Protocol and makes use of his enormous talent for it.
The new Protocol consists of Simon Phillips (Drum), Alex Sill (Gtr), Jacob Scesney (Sax), Otomaro Ruiz (Key) and Ernest Tibbs (Bass). Each player contributed with their own style and colour to the new album which strikes Protocol fans with pure musical magic.
Also Alex Sill, who took over the guitar role from masters, Andy Timmons and Greg Howe, should be in the spotlight. He played his guitar differently from his predecessors wit his own clever and thrilling style and emphasized the power of Protocol.
We had a chat with Simon Phillips about the brand new 5th album of Prtocol, “Protocol V”.

ジェフ・ベック、マイケル・シェンカー、ザ・フー等との共演やTOTOでの活躍など、そのキャリアはロック・ドラマーとして最高峰の一人であるサイモン・フィリップス。ドラマーとしては既に達観の域にあるサイモンがドラムプレイのみではなく、音楽の創造主としてそのクリエイティヴな才能、情熱を一心に注いでいるProtocolが5作目となる作品「Protocol V」をリリースした。

スーパー・ドラマー、サイモン・フィリップスがProtocolプロジェクト４作目となるアルバム「PROTOCOL IV」をリリース。今回はバンドのメンバーとして、その超絶技巧かつセンス溢れるギタープレイにてハード・ロック、フュージョンの音楽ファンから支持されているグレッグ・ハウ、そしてサンダーキャットやロナルド・ブルーナー・ジュニアのバンド・メンバーでもある注目の若手キーボーディスト、デニス・ハムが参加。

Simon Philips, one of the world’s most popular drummers, has fascinated audiences worldwide over the years, performing with countless legends such as Jeff Beck, The Michael Schenker Group, The Who, and also fulfilling duties as the drummer of TOTO after the death of Jeff Porcaro.
Simon not only fascinates the world with his extraordinary drum techniques, but also displays his talent as an established composer, producer and recording engineer in the music industry. Recently, Simon has also built a new fan base in Japan as a member of the Hiromi Uehara Trio Project. Trevor Rabin

Trevor Rabin is going to release a box set “Changes” which, is a summary of his career, includes his solo albums, early demos, unreleased live recordings and some of soundtracks he has done. Trevor is not only known as the main man behind the biggest hit of YES, “90125”, but also solo artist and a film composer who was in charge for music for numerous films- Bruce Wills’ “Armageddon” Arnold Schwarzenegger’s “6th Day” to name a few. Remarkable melodies which Trevor himself created were delivered to the people worldwide and not be forgotten.
This box includes solo albums which Trevor has released, unreleased live recordings, Jack Frost soundtrack and demo tracks of YES ere, so fans are able to acknowledge how his music has evolved through those albums.

Robert Berry

Robert Berry is a multi-talented musician known as a songwriter, an arranger, a singer, a guitarist, a keyboard player and a drummer. He run a project “3” with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer and released an album “To The Power Of Three”. Robert kept the project with Keith Emerson as “3.2” but Keith unfortunately passed away on 11th of March, 2016. Robert was in difficult situation but kept producing the album using materials and ideas which Keith left in deep sorrow. He finally finished an album of 3.2 “The Rules Have Changed” and it has delivered to fans. The album has a vision and is filled with beautiful catchy melodies, tasteful arrangement, smooth vocal and deeply considered lyrics. Robert Berry took some time to talk to Muse On Muse about this ultimate product.
