Keith Scott has long been Bryan Adams’ right-hand man, supporting him on countless albums and tours with his tasteful, rock-solid guitar work. Instead of relying on flashy shred or outlandish tricks, his playing is all about crafting melodies that lock in perfectly with Bryan’s vocals, drawing on a refined right-hand touch that brings out dynamic, expressive tones, and delivering thick, authoritative rhythm parts that feel like the blueprint for what rock guitar should be.
On Bryan’s new album ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES, Bryan himself handles many of the instruments, guitars included, but Keith steps in on four tracks (the booklet credits him as “LEAD GUITAR” on three songs and “GUITAR” on one). His contributions inject that unmistakable “Bryan Adams band” character fans love, while adding an extra dose of drive and excitement.
We spoke with Keith Scott about his new album ROLL WITH THE PUNCHES.

Bryan Adams’s live album ‘LIVE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL’, recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 2022, has been released. 英国ロンドンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホールで2022年に収録されたブライアン・アダムスのライヴ作品「LIVE AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL」がリリースされた。この作品は「CUTS LIKE A KNIFE」、「INTO THE FIRE」、「WAKING UP THE NEIGHBOURS」の3枚のスタジオアルバムのそれぞれを全曲ライヴで演奏されたものが音源、映像で収録されている。このライヴ作品では、ブライアンの名曲の数々が今も尚、色あせることなくパワーと輝きを放っており、ブライアンとブライアンの盟友であるギタリスト、キース・スコットの素晴らしく、そして強固なコンビネーションが健在であることを証明している。このライヴ作品でも歌心あるギタープレイでブライアンの楽曲を見事に惹きたてているギターの名手、キース・スコットにこの作品について語って貰った。

Keith Scott has been playing guitar for both for gigs and recordings of Brian Adams . His impressive guitar with a Rock spirit is one of key factor to the sound of Bryan Adams. It’s like when you are listening to Bryan, you also are listening to Keith’s melodic guitar. Even though Bryan played most of parts by himself for his latest album “So Happy It Hurts”, which has a strong Rock feeling, but you can hear Keith’s solid guitar on crucial parts of the album. The credit said Keith played his guitar on five songs (lead guitar for 4 and rhythm guitar for one) but Keith himself said he did not play guitar on the title track “So Happy It Hurts”. We had a chat with Keith Scott about the latest piece of Bryan Adams and his surf-music project The Fontanas.

Bryan Adams has released his new album “SHINE A LIGHT”. Even though this new album featured astonishing guests, Ed Sheeran as co-producer and Jennifer Lopez as a singer, Bryan kept his one and only Rock style for whole album with tunes filled by catchy but impressive melodies.
Keith Scott played guitar for 8 tracks produced by Bob Rock and Bryan Adams on this album. Keith has been supporting Bryan for his tour and recordings by playing his soulful Rock guitar, You could hear his melodic guitar on numerous big hit tunes by Bryan Adams which everybody knows. But, In recent tracks by Brian, we hear less dramatic structure configured by Bryan’s vocal and Keith’s melodic guitars. One of the cause is shortening of track length. Muse On Muse asked questions to Keith Scott about this recent adjustment of production, guitar play for Bryan’s new set “SHINE A LIGHT”, Keith’s project “The Fontanas” and others.
