An ex Muay Thai fighter Kris Barras is now chasing his other dream Blues Rock musician, Kris has released a superb Blues Rock album “Light It Up”. He has proven his musical skills by being responsible for Guitar and vocal in the big Blues project Supersonic Blues Machine alongside legendary players like Billy Gibbons, Steve Lukather, Eric Gales, Warren Haynes and more. And he matched them in skills. This crucial brand new album displays not only his ability as a singer and a guitarist, but also a melody maker and a producer by showcasing rich melodies and arrangements which have sophisticated and updated blues feeling, essential guitar play and his vocal magic. 総合格闘技の世界で闘っていた男が、子供の頃から抱いていたもう一つの夢をつかむべく、ブルース・ロック音楽の世界に闘いの場を移し情熱を注いでいる。元総合格闘家のKris Barras（クリス・バラス）が渾身のブルース・ロック作品「Light It Up」をリリース。クリス・バラスのミュージシャンとしての実力は、あのブルース・ロックのスーパー・プロジェクトであるSupersonic Blues Machine にてフロントマンとしてギターとボーカルを担い、ビリー・ギボンズ、スティーヴ・ルカサー、エリック・ゲイルズやウォーレン・ヘインズといった錚々たるミュージシャン達と共演し、堂々と渡り合っていることからも明らかである。今回の作品でも、シンガー、ギタリストとしての魅力はもちろん、作曲面におけるメロディ・メーカーとしてもその才能を存分に披露。アルバムは、ボーカルのメロディの豊かさ、ブルースフィーリングを持ちながらも決して古臭くはなっていない洗練されたアレンジ、そしてリアルなギタープレイ、歌声が発揮された会心作となっている。最新作「Light It Up」についてクリス・バラスに訊いた。

Supersonic Blues Machine

The blues rock project. Supersonic Blues Machine consists of three members, Fabrizio Grossi, Kenny Aronoff and Kris Barras. Fabrizio is not only a bassist of the band, The multi-talented musician writes, produces, arranges and mixes for the band. The veteran drummer Kenny Aronoff is known for numerous works with legends like John Mellencamp, John Fogerty, Jon Bon Jovi, Celine Dion to name a few. The gifted British Blues Rock enthusiast Kris is in charge of guitar/lead vocal of the band.
The Blues Rock experts are famous for their signature Blues Rock sound with unique edges which is backed by their skills and vast experiences. Their sprit and passion for their music attracts their fellow musicians and artists like Billy Gibbons, Robben Ford, Steve Lukather, Walter Trout has worked together for past projects of the band.
Their brand new album “Voodoo Nation” has been released in June, 2022 and the album featured excellent guest guitarists like Sonny Landreth, Kirk Fletcher, Eric Gales, Joe Louis Walker and Ana Popović. The sound of the band is merged together with ones from those collaborators under the Blues Rock spirit.
