FLYING COLORS is a new super band featuring Mike Portnoy on drums and vocals, Dave LaRue on bass, Neal Morse on keyboards and vocals, Casey McPherson on vocals and guitar, and Steve Morse on guitar. Their self-titled album is an amazing blend of folk, prog, pop and metal, creating a marvelous style of music. Steve Morse and Neal Morse talked to us about the new album.
Steve Hackett
Steve Hackett is known as early day GENESIS member and the founder of GTR, a project with YES member Steve Howe. Steve Hackett also continues to deliver high quality music with his solo projects. Steve has recently released his newest project “Squackett”, a collaboration with Chris Squire who currently plays for the legendary progressive band YES. Steve talks to MUSE ON MUSE about his new project.
Trevor Rabin
Trevor Rabin has just released his new album “Jacaranda”, 23 years since his last album “Can’t Look Away”. Trevor Rabin made his name in the music scene when he took part as a key figure on the YES album “90125” in the 80s. After parting with YES, Trevor went on to do film scores, and was involved in productions of numerous movies such as “Armageddon” and “National Treasure”. Trevor continues to work in the film industry, creating quality music for various movies. Here, Trevor talks about his new release, “Jacaranda”.
Joey Tempest (EUROPE)

Swedish hard rock band EUROPE has just finished their newest studio effort “Bag of Bones”, 2 and a half years after their previous album “Last Look At Eden”. The new album marks their 9th album (4th after the reunion) and portrays a newer style of their music, adding another masterpiece to their discography. Singer and main songwriter, Joey Tempest talks about EUROPE’s new album “Bag of Bones”.

In September, 2011, Joseph Williams appeared in front of the Japanese audience and put on a great performance as the lead singer for the re-united TOTO. 11 years from his last album, and his first all instrumental album since his first album “Tales From The Bulge” released in 1990, Michael Landau now releases his newest studio effort “Organic Instrumentals”. The new album can be described as high quality hard fusion, and Michael Landau explains to us about his approach to playing guitar on this new album filled with superb music and quality sound production.
Richie Kotzen
Richie Kotzen has released his new album “24 Hours”, an album well balanced out between excellent guitar technique and songwriting. Richie’s great vocal performance and songwriting with style should appeal not only to guitar players, but to mainstream rock music listeners as well. We were able to ask Richie about the new album, as well as about his guitar playing, including his newly developed technique of playing without using a guitar pick.
Jordan Rudess (DREAM THEATER)
DREAM THEATER have just released their newest studio effort “A Dramatic Turn Of Events”. As the title speaks for itself, DREAM THEATER went through some dramatic changes, after parting with drummer Mike Portnoy, who was a key person and leader of the band along with John Petrucci. The band went on to record the new album with the new drummer, Mike Mangini. Jordan Rudess contributed to the new album with his versatile and delicate keyboard sounds, enhancing dynamics to the tunes with his quality techniques, as well as contributing with the songwriting. Jordan talked to us in detail about the new album.
Derek Sherinian
Derek Sherinian is the Ex-DREAM THEATER keyboard player currently playing for BLACK COUTRY COMMUNION formed by Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Joe Bonamassa. Derek is also known for working with Billy Idol and is know releasing an album featuring a hard rock oriented fusion sound.
Participating in the album are Steve Lukather and Simon Philips, who just finished a successful tour to Japan in September as members of TOTO. Steve Stevens, Joe Bonamassa, Tony MacAlpine, Doug Aldrich, and others also take part in the album, all contributing excellent performances.

Paul Mahon (THE ANSWER)
Produced by Grammy nominee producer Chris Frenchie Smith, THE ANSWER have released their 3rd studio album “Revival”.
