Richie Kotzen
Richie Kotzen has released his new album “24 Hours”, an album well balanced out between excellent guitar technique and songwriting. Richie’s great vocal performance and songwriting with style should appeal not only to guitar players, but to mainstream rock music listeners as well. We were able to ask Richie about the new album, as well as about his guitar playing, including his newly developed technique of playing without using a guitar pick.
Jordan Rudess (DREAM THEATER)
DREAM THEATER have just released their newest studio effort “A Dramatic Turn Of Events”. As the title speaks for itself, DREAM THEATER went through some dramatic changes, after parting with drummer Mike Portnoy, who was a key person and leader of the band along with John Petrucci. The band went on to record the new album with the new drummer, Mike Mangini. Jordan Rudess contributed to the new album with his versatile and delicate keyboard sounds, enhancing dynamics to the tunes with his quality techniques, as well as contributing with the songwriting. Jordan talked to us in detail about the new album.
Derek Sherinian
Derek Sherinian is the Ex-DREAM THEATER keyboard player currently playing for BLACK COUTRY COMMUNION formed by Glenn Hughes, Jason Bonham and Joe Bonamassa. Derek is also known for working with Billy Idol and is know releasing an album featuring a hard rock oriented fusion sound.
Participating in the album are Steve Lukather and Simon Philips, who just finished a successful tour to Japan in September as members of TOTO. Steve Stevens, Joe Bonamassa, Tony MacAlpine, Doug Aldrich, and others also take part in the album, all contributing excellent performances.
